The most commonly used method for energy storage is through Battery Energy Storage Systems, with most applications powered by AC. To convert DC into AC, standard inverters are typically employed. Manufacturers of these inverters often offer harmonic filters and transformers as solutions. However, when it comes to higher frequencies (above 150 kHz), there are no readily available solutions, and many BESS integrators may not be aware of the EMI issues that can arise within the system. In this presentation, we will provide a detailed explanation of potential EMI challenges and explore possible solutions.
